Road trip: Day 24

It was windy and cool when we got up, so we decided to head to town.  We went to the glass factory and as usual, I was mesmerized by their talents.  We have been there several times and each time I feel as though I could sit and watch them work for hours.  It's amazing how fast they create such beautiful pieces.  Brett wanted to get some glasses for our new outdoor kitchen so we got a set of glasses and a matching pitcher.  We also found a neat fish candle holder thingy that will be great on the new patio as well.

We then decided to drive up behind Costco to see all the new homes being built up there.  We ended up looking at some beautiful model homes and condos.  Surprisingly, we liked the condos best as they were all single story and all had views of the city, the Sea of Cortez and Lands End.  I think we may have opened a can of worms by spending our day like that.  I'm pretty sure Brett is already picking out furniture in his mind!

Tonight, we went and visited Ricardo and Susie again.  They moved since our last trip here, but it wasn't hard to find their new place as it's right next door to their old one.  We had a great time catching up with them and getting to know Ricardo's mom, Delores.  She's 93 and moved in with them recently and is a doll! Brett enjoyed his conversations with her as they discussed religion and Christianity.  She gave Brett a couple of books which will be great for our travels back up the Baja. She loves Cabo and I think more than that, she loves living with Ricardo and Susie, and who can blame her, they are wonderful people and always a lot of fun.
