Went to breakfast with Roy and MaryJo, then met up with Britt (our niece), her son, Ellis, her fiance, Chris, and some of their friends. We all took a walk along the Huntington Beach pier. Windy, but beautiful. Southern California is so nice in the winter. The weather is still great and there are lots of people out and about, but not as crowded as summer.
Lots of surfers out on this pretty Saturday morning.
Went back to Roy and MaryJo's where we enjoyed an afternoon and evening with family and friends. Jessie is living with them and is getting ready to start the nursing program and we got to meet her boyfriend, Alec. It was so great to see both Britt and Jessie so obviously happy. Wish we could have seen all 3 of our beautiful nieces, but Jordyn had to work, so we missed seeing her.
Most everyone was interested in watching the UFC fight. The main event didn't last long as Silva broke his leg in the second round. So glad I wasn't watching as they all said it was a gnarly break.
We had so much fun visiting and reminiscing that we finally had to force ourselves to say goodnight at 1am this morning as we had to get up and leave by 8:30am. We're on a very tight schedule these next few days in CA as we try to cram in several visits in a very short period of time. We're working our way up the state, trying to fit in our stays with work schedules and also not do any backtracking.
